Worship is at the heart of our community. We gather around Word (Scripture) and Sacrament (Communion and Baptism), to offer our praise to God together as the Body of Christ. Our worship involves the whole community. We sing and pray and eat together and then are sent to share the good news of God’s love with our community. At Fir-Conway, we celebrate communion every Sunday.
All people are welcome in worship, especially children of all ages and people of all abilities.
For children: There are activity bags and children’s bulletins in the narthex (entryway) of the church. Children are also encouraged to participate in the worship by singing along, coming to Children’s Time (parents can come up too if kids are shy), and helping to usher or greet. If your child has a gift they would like to share, please speak with Pastor Sylvia. We are happy to have you and your children in worship, even if they are wiggly.
Nursery: Child care is offered downstairs in the nursery for children under 5. We are happy to have kids in worship or in the nursery so that Sunday mornings can be a blessing for your family.
Hearing-impaired: We have some listening devices that might help you if you are hearing-impaired. Ushers will be able to assist you in finding both the sermons and the listening devices.
Vision-impaired: We have large print bulletins and hymnals available. Ask an usher if you need large-print.
